Service Flow defines how a facility service is used and when the customer is charged.
When creating a facility in the parking platform, you can choose how the service is charged and completed. The Service Flow determines when the customer pays for the facility.
There are two options:
-
One-time Usage
Choose One-time Usage when the customer pays for the service at the time of purchase and the service is completed as a single transaction. This is suitable for services where there is no need to track when the customer checks out.
Facility Types
- Event tickets
- Washroom tickets
- One-time car wash
- One-time service charges
How it works
- Customer selects the facility.
- Customer pays the applicable amount.
- The facility/service is provided.
- The transaction is completed.
Example
A customer purchases a washroom ticket for ₹20. They pay ₹20 when purchasing the ticket, use the washroom, and the service is considered completed. There is no checkout or additional payment.
-
Check-in / Check-out
Choose Check-in / Check-out used when the facility needs to remain active for a period of time or the final charge depends on how long or how much the customer uses it.
With this option, the customer is checked in when they start using the facility and payment is calculated and collected at checkout.
Facility Types
- Locker storage
- Helmet storage
- Long-duration storage
- Facilities where usage time determines the final charge
How it works
- Customer selects the facility.
- Customer checks in or starts using the service.
- The system records the start time.
- Customer continues using the facility.
- Customer checks out.
- The system calculates the applicable amount.
- Customer makes the payment.
Example
A customer uses a helmet locker for 3 hours. The locker rate is ₹20 per hour. At checkout, the system calculates the total charge as ₹60, and the customer pays ₹60.
Which Service Flow Should You Choose?
| Service Flow | Payment | Best suited for |
| One-time Usage | At the time of purchase | Tickets, washroom, one-time car wash |
| Check-in / Check-out | At checkout | Locker, helmet storage, time-based services |
Quick Rule
If the service is purchased and completed in one transaction → choose One-time Usage.
If the customer needs to use the service for a period of time and pay based on usage → choose Check-in / Check-out.
