Pass-based entry is an entry and exit method in SISTEM where vehicles are allowed access using predefined parking passes instead of per-visit payments.

It is designed for repeat users such as residents, employees, subscribers, or long-term parkers, allowing faster entry, predictable billing, and reduced onsite payment handling.

When pass-based entry is used

Pass-based entry is commonly used for:

  • Residential societies and apartments
  • Office buildings and campuses
  • Monthly or long-term subscribers
  • Staff and employee parking
  • Locations with frequent repeat vehicles

This method reduces congestion at entry points and simplifies daily operations.

Pass-based entry works on top of SISTEM’s vehicle session model.

Before pass-based entry can be used, pass rates must be configured by admins. Once configured, operators can validate passes during entry and SISTEM automatically applies pass rules to vehicle sessions.

Operator workflow for pass-based entry

Step 1: Validate pass at entry

If valid, entry is allowed.

  • Operator selects Pass-based entry.
  • Enter vehicle number or pass identifier.
  • SISTEM checks:
    • Pass validity
    • Active status
    • Applicable parking location

If the pass entry is new,

  • Enter the vehicle number
  • Select the vehicle type
  • Save the customer details accurately
  • Select the pass tier
  • You can save the payment via multiple methods

Step 2: Create vehicle session

  • A vehicle session is created automatically.
  • Entry time is captured.
  • Parking mode is marked as Pass.

Step 3: Record exit

  • Operator marks vehicle exit.
  • Exit time is captured.
  • Parking duration is calculated.

No per-session payment is required if the pass covers the stay.

Vehicle sessions created through pass-based entry include:

  • Vehicle number
  • Linked pass details
  • Entry and exit timings
  • Parking duration timeline
  • Pricing reference (via pass)
  • Zero or adjusted payable amount
  • Operator logs

Users with elevated access can manage all pass-based sessions.

They can:

  • View sessions linked to passes
