Customizing Item Modifier with Modifier Groups and Menu Items
Item Modifiers allow restaurants to add customization options to specific menu items. For example, a pizza may have modifiers like extra cheese, choice of crust, or sauce preference. These modifiers enhance customer flexibility and improve the ordering experience.
They are always linked to a Modifier Group (like “Pizza Toppings” or “Spice Level”) and applied to individual menu items.
Why are Item Modifiers Important?
- Customization – Guests can personalize their orders.
- Flexibility – Restaurants can add optional or required choices.
- Accuracy – Ensures staff capture exact customer preferences.
- Upselling – Add-ons like “extra cheese” or “drinks combo” boost revenue.
