Slab pricing is a duration-based pricing model where a fixed amount is charged for a defined time range, regardless of the exact time spent within that range.

Unlike progressive or per-minute billing, slab pricing applies one flat charge once the vehicle session falls within a specific time bracket.

This model is commonly used in parking environments where simple, predictable billing is preferred.

In slab pricing:

  • A time range is defined (for example, 0–3 hours).
  • A fixed amount is assigned to that range.
  • If the session duration falls within that range, the full slab price is applied.

For example:

  • 0–3 hours → ₹50
  • 3–6 hours → ₹100
  • 6–24 hours → ₹200

If a vehicle stays for 2 hours, the 0–3 hour slab applies.
If it stays for 4 hours, the 3–6 hour slab applies.

The system automatically identifies the correct slab based on session duration.

Slab pricing can be configured in:

  • Vehicle parking rates
  • Facility pricing (if duration-based services are offered)

It is most commonly used for:

  • Mall or retail parking
  • Event parking
  • Short-stay commercial parking
  • Locations where simplified billing reduces disputes

When adding pricing tiers, the Unit type can be selected as Slab.

  • Operators need quick billing with minimal calculation

  • The parking location has standard short-stay patterns

Important notes

  • Slab pricing applies one fixed price per defined time range.
  • It does not calculate charges progressively.
  • It can be combined with fixed tiers or hybrid models if required.
  • Changes to slabs apply only to future sessions, not completed ones.

Slab pricing keeps billing simple, transparent, and operationally efficient in high-movement parking environments.
