Custom Facilities

Custom facilities allow you to create services that are unique to your parking location.
While predefined facilities cover common services, custom facilities give you flexibility to support site-specific offerings.

These may include:

  • Bike rentals
  • Car wash services
  • Premium parking zones
  • Luggage assistance
  • Charging for non-EV devices
  • Any service not covered by predefined options

Custom facilities ensure SISTEM adapts to your operations rather than forcing you into fixed service types.

Why custom facilities matter

Not all parking locations operate the same way. Custom facilities help you:

  • Offer additional revenue streams
  • Support location-specific services
  • Maintain consistent billing for non-standard services
  • Track usage and performance of unique offerings
  • Expand services without system limitations

This flexibility is essential for malls, airports, event venues, and mixed-use facilities.

How custom facilities work in SISTEM

Custom facilities are created at the parking level and function like predefined facilities, with one key difference:

You can choose the pricing model based on your service needs.

Each custom facility can include:

  • Description and location details
  • Tax configuration
  • Status (active/inactive)
  • Pricing model (time-based, unit-based, energy-based, or flat)
  • Pricing tiers based on usage

Once configured, the facility becomes available for operators during live operations.

Step 1: Navigate to facility rates

To create a custom facility:

  1. Open the parking you want to configure
  2. Go to Parking settings
  3. Select Facility rates
  4. Click Add facility

Only admins and managers can create or modify facilities.

Step 2: Select custom facility type

When adding a facility:

  • Choose Custom facility
  • Enter a clear facility name

    • Example: Car wash, premium parking, luggage storage

Use descriptive names so operators can easily identify the service.

Step 3: Add facility details

Provide essential information:

  • Facility description
  • Service location (if applicable)
  • Applicable tax
  • Status (active or inactive)

Inactive facilities remain saved but are not available during operations.

Step 4: Choose pricing model

Unlike predefined facilities, custom facilities allow full control over pricing.

You can select the model that best fits the service:

  • Flat pricing — one-time charge per use
  • Time-based pricing — charge based on duration
  • Unit-based pricing — charge per item or usage unit
  • Energy-based pricing — charge based on consumption

Choose the model that reflects how the service is delivered.

Step 5: Save the facility

Once details and pricing model are selected:

  • Review the configuration
  • Save the facility
  • Proceed to add pricing tiers

The facility is now ready for pricing setup.

Step 6: Add pricing tiers

Define pricing tiers based on the selected pricing model.

Flat pricing example

Used for one-time services.

You can:

  • Set a fixed price for the service
  • Create multiple flat tiers for different service levels

Time-based pricing example

Used when service duration affects cost.

You can define tiers such as:

  • First hour price
  • Additional hourly rate
  • Daily maximum cap

Unit-based pricing example

Used when charging per item or quantity.

You can define tiers such as:

  • Per item rate
  • Bulk usage pricing
  • Different prices for different item categories

Energy-based pricing example

Used when billing depends on consumption.

You can define:

  • Base consumption rate
  • Tiered pricing for higher usage
  • Separate rates for peak usage

Interaction with live operations

Once configured, custom facilities:

  • Appear in operator dashboards
  • Can be added to live sessions
  • Are billed automatically
  • Reflect in reports and analytics

This ensures all services are tracked and monetized consistently.

Operational best practices

  • Use clear names for easy operator selection
  • Choose pricing models that match real usage
  • Keep inactive facilities instead of deleting them
  • Review tax rules for compliance
  • Test facility billing before going live

Custom facilities allow you to expand services while maintaining operational clarity.
